How to Install a Junction Box

Don't underestimate the power of a tiny box! Photovoltaic junction boxes, often called solar junction boxes, are the unsung heroes of your solar energy system. These weatherproof enclosures, strategically placed on the back of each panel, play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and long-lasting solar power generation. By housing and protecting the electrical connections between solar cells, junction boxes prevent exposure and potential damage.

They also often contain bypass diodes that maintain energy flow even in shaded areas, maximizing your system's output. Furthermore, some junction boxes offer surge protection, safeguarding your valuable solar investment from electrical spikes. For a reliable and high-performing solar power system, proper installation of photovoltaic junction boxes is a non-negotiable step.

Step 1

Strip the insulating layer of cable. L=7±0.3mm. Be alerted not to cut off the wire core.
Note: Please keep the cable cross section flat when cutting the cable.

Step 2

Put the stripped cable into the terminal hole and ensure that all cores are in the terminal hole.
Do not touch the positioning angle of the terminal

Step 3

Push the riveted pin into the insulator until they engage. Pull lightly on the lead to check that the metal part has engaged.

Step 4

Install the cable gland. First screw it by hands, then lock tightly by plastic spanner or plastic spanner and ring spanner. The front-end of connector need to be fixed during Production. Unscrew the rear cover,
recommended input torque force 3.0N.m.
